A Chronicle of Doom....

Brief visit to (a much much tidier) Ice Station Zebra yesterday, sufficiently so that 'the gods' were, whilst not 100% impressed, impressed none the less. This saga continues as they say.... In spite of this pressure our man in Pester Wailes was on good form, chatty, coherent and much enthused over recent issues of Fatale, Captain America and The Incredible Hulk (in particular) - the most animated he's been about comics for some time - and he duly passed some 'doublers' on to this Agent fer to read on the train home. Not only were Marvel Comics on the agenda, but the end of Evil Hollywood's page 3 was in sight, only 2 lines of 'Gothic lettering' to be inked in. If this morning's talk on the Batphone is to be believed this was done and dusted by the dawn's early light.... As soon as the 'procession' was completed, the fates assigned and duly resigned to, there was still time for a short swill before heading into town to visit Agent Austin at Deadhead Comics. Damnation Alley indeed! Get well soon, Wattie Buchan!

Lovely! Smashing! Souper!

Aha, don't just take our word for it, as Two Headed Boy over at Two Headed Thingies extolls the virtues of the one and only Electric Soup, including high praise of two Braw Book stalwarts, Dave Alexander and Shug McKenna. The crowd go wild indeed!

Sadly, even with a quick check of the crystal ball we're unable to discern when the much mooted third collection of, er, the one and only All-Star Electric Souperman is due. Time won't tell, y'see....

A Chronicle of Doom....

First visit of the year to Ice Station Zebra on Thors-day, happy to find our man in Pester Hailes on somewhat better form than in the poorly months leading up to 'X-Mas'. With 'Shunker 5' duly flowing once more there was little left to do but settle down to a swill, sidestepping the many 'processions' along the way. Ye gods wir not impressed, unfortunately. There's a little progress on Evil Hollywood Over Subterrania, the 3rd page, 'Seaside Armageddon' is now underway, but Tales of Unearthly Science Fiction is threatening to overtake as a going concern (despite not really going anywhere). Hopefully we'll get both these projects back on tack and focus ourselves enough to complete them this year. We shall see.... The day was rounded off with a welcome trip into town, the Hunt for the Lanark Gazette, a visit to Backbeat Records, before finally pitching up at Agent Johnny's home from home, Deadhead Comics....
